Facts about Biden case on Classified Documents

Budrigannews.com – The following is a chronology of the information that has been made public about the classified documents that were discovered in President Joe Biden’s home and temporary office in Wilmington, Delaware:
2017 sees Biden begin working part-time at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit think tank managed by the University of Pennsylvania NOV. 2, 2022: Biden lawyers discover “a small number” of records in the think tank’s office. They report their find to the United States National Archives, hand over the materials, and begin working with the Justice Department and the Archives.
NOV. On September 9, 2022, the FBI launches an investigation to determine whether any federal laws were broken and whether classified information was handled improperly.
NOV. On 14th of 2022, US Attorney General Merrick Garland assigns the investigation to U.S. Attorney John Lausch, who is also the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and asks him to determine whether a special counsel is necessary.
DEC. 2022: Biden’s personal attorney informs the Department of Justice that additional documents with classification markings were discovered in the president’s private library, which is attached to his garage at his Wilmington home.
JAN. 5, 2023, Lausch briefs Garland on the investigation and suggests that a special counsel be appointed.
JAN. On September 9, 2023, the White House makes the public disclosure that it found classified documents in Biden’s temporary office at the University of Pennsylvania and declares that it is assisting investigators.
JAN. 12th, 2023: Biden’s personal attorney informs the Justice Department that the president’s home in Wilmington contained a document with classification markings.
Robert Hur, the former U.S. attorney for the District of Maryland under Trump, is appointed special counsel by Garland. In paragraph 3, the description of the number of classified records in Biden’s campus office has been updated to read “small number.”
