Tyson Foods employees are quitting en masse

Budrigannews.com – Following Tyson Foods According to a Wall Street Journal report, when the company announced plans in October to close two of its corporate offices, many of the employees who were working in these offices declined to move to other locations.

Tyson Foods intends to close its Chicago and South Dakota facilities in order to establish a single corporate office at its global headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. These two locations employ approximately 1,000 people.

“All corporate team members will be given the option to relocate to Springdale and north-west Arkansas,” a Tyson spokesperson stated. “Those locations will eventually close.”

“If any of the affected team members decide to move to northwest Arkansas, we currently have room for them.” There are no lay-offs related with this declaration.”

In any case, the WSJ currently reports that many staff declined to move and want to leave the organization. Almost 400 out of around 500 representatives in Tyson’s South Dakota office told the organization they wouldn’t take the action to Arkansas.

Donnie King, CEO of Tyson, told the WSJ, “I’m confident the plan we have in place ensures business continuity and positions us for long-term success.” We realized there would be different reactions when we declared the combination of our corporate areas.”
