Spotify CEO continued attack on Apple
Budrigannews.com – Spotify (Spotify) CEO Daniel Ek’s tirade against Apple (NASDAQ:) has not abated in a series of tweets on Wednesday, claiming that Apple “gives itself every advantage while at the same time stifling innovation and hurting consumers.”
Elon Musk posted a meme on Monday that suggested he would rather “go to war” than pay the fee Apple charges software developers, including Twitter, for in-app purchases.
On Wednesday, a request for information was made and Apple did not immediately respond. It said earlier this week that the commissions it gets help pay for app reviews to make sure customers don’t get scammed, see porn, or have their privacy invaded.
Spotify has previously complained to the European Commission about Apple’s policies in violation of antitrust laws.
In addition to Musk, Ek tagged Microsoft (NASDAQ:) and Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney among other technology executives in his tweets.Brad Smith, the president.
“So, how much longer will we ignore this threat to the internet’s future?” How many more customers will be left without options? In a tweet with the European Commission and the US Commerce Department as tags, Ek stated.
“There’s been a ton of talk.Ek stated, “Talk is helpful, but we need to act.”
