Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.91%
Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Retail, Construction and Consumer & Cyclical sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.91% to hit a new 3-months low, while the MDAX index lost 1.45%, and the TecDAX index declined 1.95%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn), which rose 2.46% or 0.76 points to trade at 31.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn) added 1.17% or 1.75 points to end at 151.85 and Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:DPWGn) was up 1.01% or 0.35 points to 34.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG), which fell 7.60% or 2.38 points to trade at 28.92 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) declined 6.20% or 1.83 points to end at 27.67 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) was down 4.86% or 16.10 points to 314.90.
The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which rose 3.23% to 24.91, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which was up 2.16% to settle at 12.75 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which gained 1.82% to close at 206.70.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 6.08% to 10.19 in late trade, Fraport AG (ETR:FRAG) which lost 5.95% to settle at 46.80 and Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:KBX) which was down 5.12% to 58.18 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Varta AG (ETR:VAR1) which rose 1.49% to 81.50, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was up 1.28% to settle at 79.15 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which gained 0.83% to close at 17.61.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 6.08% to 10.19 in late trade, Suse SA (ETR:SUSEG) which lost 5.25% to settle at 24.18 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which was down 4.86% to 314.90 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 495 to 196 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.60% or 2.38 to 28.92. Shares in Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.20% or 1.83 to 27.67. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to all time lows; losing 6.08% or 0.66 to 10.19. Shares in Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:KBX) fell to all time lows; down 5.12% or 3.14 to 58.18. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to all time lows; down 6.08% or 0.66 to 10.19.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.06% to 29.85.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.00% or 18.25 to $1,813.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.31% or 0.37 to hit $120.56 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.34 to trade at $121.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP rose 1.24% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 105.09.
