The future of shoes appears to be expensive, as the most popular metaverse sneakers by RTFKT x Nike (NYSE:NKE) currently sell at a floor price of 2.07 ETH, or, at the time of this writing, $5,873.
The average price, however, is $4,000-$9,500. Some of the so-called ‘CryptoKicks’ were sold above six figures – this includes the Murakami sneakers purchased for 45 ETH (approximately $129,480).
RTFKT is among the top creative NFT organizations creating innovative digital art. Ever since Nike acquired the company in December last year, RTFK has created fascinating metaverse sneakers, which have ranked high in sales.
Nike CryptoKicks collection ‘RFTKT X Nike Dunk Genesis’ is powered by Skin Vial tech and DRM OS. The advanced technology enables sneakers to change their appearance and patterns and adds effects.
RTFKT first exploded after the brand launched its first NFT sneaker collection back in 2020. In collaboration with successful young artist Fewocious, the company sold out all the pairs in seven minutes, raising $3.1 million.
