Tidy, updated curb appeal is a plus for potential buyers.

Tidy up your front yard landscaping.

Landscaping is at the top of the list for Sweet. “It’s the first thing buyers see when they pull up to the home,” he says. “If the landscaping looks overgrown, unmaintained, and dead, it gives the impression that the inside will be the same.” 

Sweet says that you don’t have to do anything dramatic. “Sellers can do wonders by just making sure the yard is trimmed up and is as clean as possible. When in doubt, just keep it simple.” But if you wanted to go the extra yard, consider re-mulching your flower beds or even adding a small edible garden.
