German households are not worried about inflation-survey
Budrigannews.com – Based on a monthly survey of consumer expectations, the Bundesbank stated on Friday that German households are becoming less pessimistic about the prospects for inflation and are anticipating a moderation in price pressures over the course of the next year.
According to the Bundesbank, inflation expectations for the coming year in the largest economy of the euro zone decreased from 8.2% to 7.9%, and the proportion of people anticipating a significant increase in inflation decreased from 49% to 39%.

Inflation in the Eurozone reached a record high of 10.6% in October, but it fell to 10% a month later, raising hopes that the energy-driven price rise is over.
A Reuters survey of analysts found that overall price growth is not expected to return to the European Central Bank’s 2% target until 2025, and disinflation in the bloc is likely to be slow.
A median forecast in the survey predicts that German inflation will now average 5% over the next five years, a decrease from a month ago.
