(Reuters) -British electrical car startup Arrival SA has appointed EY as administrators for two of its units, the consulting agency stated on Monday.
Simon Edel, Alan Hudson (NYSE:) and Sam Woodward (NASDAQ:) of EY-Parthenon’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy staff have been appointed joint administrators of Arrival UK and Arrival Automotive UK, EY stated.
The firm, which has no income, has been struggling to get its enterprise off the bottom and safe funding to take action. It had raised going-concern-risk in November 2022 and has shed most of its workforce since then.
Arrival was in talks with EY about appearing as administrator if it couldn’t safe rescue funding, Sky News reported final month.
EY is exploring choices to promote property of the Arrival, together with the corporate’s electrical car platform, software program, mental property and R&D property, EY and Arrival stated.
Arrival stated in late 2022 that it might shift focus to the U.S. market in an try to capitalize on the Inflation Reduction Act incentives and handle a bigger market.
